2) Magnesium Chloride

Magnesium Chloride is used with type 2 diabetes to affect blood glucose levels.

3) Magnesium Sulfate

Magnesium Sulfate is used for constipation, preeclampsia (type of high blood pressure that can occur with pregnancy) and eclampsia (when high blood pressure during pregnancy results in seizures).

4) Magnesium Citrate

Magnesium Citrate has laxative effects and is very well absorbed by the body.

5) Magnesium Glycinate

Magnesium Glycinate is praised for relieving stress and anxiety and promote better sleep, is absorbed well, isn’t known for its laxative properties and may help provide relief from restless leg syndrome.

6) Magnesium Malate

Magnesium Malate is highly absorbable, may cause diarrhea and is commonly used to treat muscle pain and fibromyalgia. Malic acid is found in many fruits such as oranges, apples and pears.

7) Magnesium Aspartate

Magnesium Aspartate can help to absorb minerals associated with enhanced athletic performance.

8) Magnesium Taurate

Magnesium Taurate is praised for its calming properties, and is being researched for anti-diabetic properties.

9) Magnesium Orotate

Magnesium Orotate may help with cardiovascular health.

10) Magnesium L-Threonate

Magnesium L-Threonate is thought to be easily absorbed and to help cognitive function (learning abilities and better memory).
