Help for Domestic Violence and Abuse Victims

DOMESTIC ABUSE IS NEVER ACCEPTABLE

What is Domestic Abuse?

Domestic abuse is physical, emotional or sexual mistreatment in a relationship or between family members.

It may involve controlling, coercive, threatening, degrading and violent behaviour.

Around 2.4 million adults experience domestic abuse each year.

1.6 million women and 786,000 men.

This figure will become even higher during Covid lockdown.

Domestic abuse is not acceptable.

Nobody deserves to live in fear.

You are worth more.

The abuser has committed a crime.
